The ejido of Tabasco contains sites that were recorded for the first time in 2008 by the CRAS project.  These include Candelaria, Tabasquito, Rancho Benito Juarez, and San Salvador.

Candelaria includes a Puuc-style vaulted range structure and some smaller mounds and terraces on one side of a modern dirt road.

The portion of Candelaria on other side of the road includes a variety of medium-sized pyramidal mounds and low platforms in what is now a pasture.

Tabasquito is positioned atop a ridge, with a view of the surrounding countryside.

Tabasco contains a series of relatively low mounds ringing the edge of a small acropolis.

The site of Rancho Benito Juarez was not mapped this season - we just didn't have time.

San Salvador's well was rediscovered in 1970, when this concrete cap was added.  We believe that it dates to Classic Maya times; it's surrounded by architecture dating to this time.
