College of the Redwoods Presents
Women in Mathematics, Science, and Engineering

A Message from the President

Casey Crabill, President, College of the Redwoods

"College of the Redwoods is very pleased to host our second celebration of women who work in fields related to mathematics, science, and engineering. The individuals who will join us to share their work provide wonderful role models for our students, as well as for other women and girls in our community, many of whom have both the talents and the desires to find rewarding work in these challenging fields.

"This series of events, which represents the work of a number of faculty, staff, and students at CR, is free and open to the public in part because we want to reach out and inspire people within our community to explore the various fields that these women represent and to engage with the ideas that are central to their work.

"I hope that you will take advantage of these programs to learn more about working in fields related to mathematics, science, and engineering and to talk with professionals in those fields about their interests and their challenges.
