Below is a partial list of equipment available for use at the Instructional Resource Center. Click here for a list of software available at the IRC.

COMPUTERS Micron Pentium II 233MHz: This computer is setup mainly for graphics, video and audio. It has a large hard drive, 128 MB RAM and a 17" monitor.
Micron Pentium 133 MHz: This machine is used primarily for creating Webpages, and other Internet related activities. Also used for image scanning and processing.
Tangent Pentium 90 MHz: This machine is used primarily for Internet related purposes as well as word processing and spreadsheet editing.
Micron Pentium II 233MHz Laptop: This machine is available for checkout by faculty and staff. This machine is setup for use in classroom multimedia presentations such as Director Movies, Powerpoint presentations, or interactive CD-ROMS.
SCANNERS Hewlett-Packard ScanJet IIcx: This flatbed scanner is capable of creating high resolution images from photographs, artwork or line drawings.
Polaroid SprintScan 35 plus: This is a high quality slide scanner which is capable of creating high quality images from standard 35mm slides and negatives. It's high resolution and color depth capabilities result in high quality digital output.
CD-ROM Yamaha CDR400c CD-ROM Burner: This equipment can be used to create your own original CD's. These CDs can contain multimedia presentations, image collections, music, or just back-up files from your computer. It can burn CDs at 4x normal speed which means it takes less than 15 minutes to burn a standard CD.
PRINTERS Hewlett Packard Deskjet 850c: This is a high quality color inkjet printer. It can print on standard paper, as well as glossy paper and transparencies.

DEVICES
2 Iomega Zip Drives: These drives use disks which are capable of storing 100 MB worth of data (roughly equivalent to 75 HD floppy diskettes). These devices allow you to take large amounts of data from your computer to ours, and vice versa.
