Practice online assignments: After each online homework assignment is complete, I will set up a practice online assignment covering the same material. The purpose is to enable you to get additional practice if needed. These assignments will all have names starting with the word Practice. You may take as many of these as you like, but they will not contribute toward your grade.

Reminder: Room 110 Physical Science will be open for your use at about 9-10am before class and 11:20-12:30 after class on MWF. I will also be available for individual help after class, unless I have a meeting. You may use the computers in PS 110 to complete online assignments or work on practice online assignments, and you can also use the room for other course work. (Note: To log into the computers in PS 110, use "math120" for both the login name and the password.)

Monday:

Reading and Practice Problems (be prepared to discuss these on Wednesday, but do not turn them in)
  • Read section 4.3
  • 4.3 #5, 15

Assignment #13-online (due by 12:30pm on Wed. Feb. 28)
  • Complete online assignment HW #13. This assignment has questions on absolute value functions.

Wednesday:

Reading and Practice Problems (be prepared to discuss these on Wednesday, but do not turn them in)
  • Read section 4.4
  • 4.4 #11, 19

Assignment #14-online (due by 12:30pm on Fri. Mar. 2)
  • Complete online assignment HW #14. This assignment has questions on absolute value functions.

Friday:

Assignment #15-written (due Mon. Mar. 5):
  • Be sure to follow the homework guidelines.
  • 4.3 #9, 11, 13, 17, 21, 23
  • 4.4 #13, 17, 27, 29, 31, 32
  • Read section 5.1
  • 5.1 #7, 15, 25, 31, 37, 39
